This presentation will outline how RCPS Literacy Coaches have implemented and communicated the Virginia Literacy Act (VLA) over the past four years. Instructional coaches will learn successful practices, including strategies for collaboration meetings, data analysis, and student reading plan discussions. The session will provide resources and foster discussions on collaboration approaches. Instructional coaches and school leaders will leave with practical tools for enhancing literacy practices and navigating the VLA’s requirements across various stakeholders.
