During this session, you'll learn how to work with teachers who don't want to work with you! Melanie will share strategies you should know to help you coach the uncoachable. Come learn the three levels of defensiveness, possible causes of the defensiveness, and coaching techniques to use when working with these types of teachers.
Effective instructional coaches improve instruction and help with improvement goals. But what if the system is the barrier to coaches’ success? In this session, participants will engage with a tool that assesses our coaching system’s effectiveness within four broad categories. Participants will develop targeted actions based on the assessment outcomes.
