2025 Power of Coaching

Effective instructional coaches improve instruction and help with improvement goals. But what if the system is the barrier to coaches’ success? In this session, participants will engage with a tool that assesses our coaching system’s effectiveness within four broad categories. Participants will develop targeted actions based on the assessment outcomes.

Too often, coaches focus on what WE would improve in a classroom. In this session, we will discuss how coaches can shift their thinking from a “What would I do?” mindset and instead ask, “What could this teacher do?” Participants will leave ready to increase their coaching effectiveness.
